Online Bill Pay Services

Stop hunting for stamps. SCU bill pay handles everything — from your electric bill to the babysitter — on your schedule, with clear tracking every step of the way.

Smart Banking

Automate your monthly obligations so nothing slips through the cracks.

How SCU Bill Pay Streamlines Your Month

Log into online banking, navigate to Bill Pay, and add the companies or individuals you need to pay. Each payee is stored securely, so after the initial setup, paying a bill takes about thirty seconds flat.

You control the timing. Schedule a payment for today, pick a future date, or set it to repeat automatically. The system tells you the estimated delivery date before you confirm — no guessing whether a payment will arrive on time.

Recurring Payments Eliminate Late Fees

Fixed-amount bills like rent, insurance premiums, and car payments are ideal candidates for recurring payment schedules. Set the frequency — weekly, biweekly, monthly, or quarterly — and the amount, and SCU bill pay handles the rest.

You will receive an email or push notification before each recurring payment processes, giving you a chance to review and cancel if your circumstances have changed. Adjustments to the amount, frequency, or end date can be made anytime from the dashboard.

Track Every Payment in One Place

Avoid logging into a dozen different websites to confirm your payments went through. The bill pay dashboard shows the status of every transaction: pending, in process, completed, or failed. Payment history is retained for 18 months and is searchable by payee name or date range.

E-Bills Cut Down on Paper Clutter

When you add a payee that supports electronic billing, you can enroll in e-bills directly through SCU bill pay. Instead of receiving a paper statement in the mail, the bill appears inside your dashboard with the exact amount and due date filled in — all you do is review and approve.

Many major utilities, telecom providers, and credit card issuers support e-bill delivery. Enrollment typically takes one billing cycle to activate. Once live, your dashboard displays upcoming e-bill due dates and amounts at a glance.

E-bill availability depends on the payee. Not all companies support electronic bill delivery. Standard bill pay features are available for all verified payees.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I set up bill pay?
Log into your SCU online banking account and select the Bill Pay tab. Click "Add Payee" and enter the company or individual's name, your account number with them, and their payment address. Once verified — usually within one business day — you can schedule payments. For help with setup, call member services at (218) 555-0147.
Are there fees for using bill pay?
Standard bill pay is free with any SCU checking account. Expedited electronic payments or same-day processing may carry a nominal fee, which is displayed before you confirm the payment. The complete fee schedule is available inside the bill pay dashboard and on the SCU fee disclosure page.
How long does it take for a bill payment to arrive?
Electronic payments usually reach the payee within one to two business days. If a payee cannot accept electronic transfers, a paper check is mailed on your behalf, which takes five to seven business days. The system displays the expected delivery date when you schedule the payment.
Can I set up automatic recurring payments?
Yes. Choose "Recurring" when scheduling a payment and select the frequency: weekly, biweekly, monthly, semi-monthly, or quarterly. You can set an end date or leave it open-ended. We recommend reviewing recurring payments at least once a quarter to ensure amounts and payees are still current.
What is an e-bill and how do I enroll?
An e-bill replaces your paper bill with a digital version delivered into the SCU bill pay dashboard. When adding a payee, look for the "Set up e-bill" option — if the company supports it, you will see an enrollment prompt. Activation typically takes one billing cycle. Once active, your bill amounts and due dates appear automatically.
