What You Should Know — Contacting Steinbach Credit Union
Steinbach Credit Union operates three full-service branch locations, a member services phone line staffed six days a week, and a secure messaging platform accessible through online banking. SCU does not outsource support — every representative who answers the phone works in one of our branches and has direct access to account systems. This means faster answers and fewer transfers.
Phone & General Inquiries
The main member services line is (218) 555-0147. This number connects you to a representative who can handle account questions, transaction disputes, loan inquiries, card services, and appointment scheduling. Phone lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. After-hours calls for lost or stolen cards route automatically to our 24/7 card services hotline.
For written correspondence, our mailing address is:

Secure electronic communication is available through the messaging portal inside online banking. This is the preferred channel for sending documents, requesting account changes, or discussing detailed financial matters that benefit from a written record. Messages receive a response within one business day.

Holiday Schedule
All Steinbach Credit Union branches are closed on the following federal holidays. Online and mobile banking remain fully available on these dates — you can check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, and deposit checks through the mobile app as usual. Transactions submitted on holidays process on the next business day.
SCU observes New Year's Day (January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January), Presidents' Day (third Monday in February), Memorial Day (last Monday in May), Juneteenth (June 19), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (first Monday in September), Columbus Day (second Monday in October), Veterans Day (November 11), Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November), and Christmas Day (December 25). When a holiday falls on a Sunday, branches close the following Monday.
Scheduling an Appointment
For loan consultations, new account openings, financial planning discussions, or complex transactions that benefit from dedicated time, SCU recommends scheduling an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at all three branch locations. Call (218) 555-0147 or use the secure messaging portal in online banking to request a time. Walk-ins are always welcome, but appointments guarantee you will meet with the right specialist without waiting.
Business members seeking commercial lending consultations should request an appointment with our business banking team, who can prepare relevant documents and rate information in advance of your meeting. Mortgage consultations benefit from the same preparation — bringing recent pay stubs, tax returns, and a list of questions helps make the most of the appointment.
Email Contact
Steinbach Credit Union does not conduct account-related correspondence through standard unencrypted email due to the sensitivity of financial information. Members should use the secure messaging portal within online banking for any communication involving account numbers, transactions, or personal financial details. General inquiries that do not involve confidential information can be directed to member services by phone at (218) 555-0147.
For regulatory or compliance-related correspondence, written mail to the Alexandria main office is the appropriate channel. The National Credit Union Administration provides oversight of credit union operations — visit ncua.gov for information about member rights and the regulatory framework governing federally insured credit unions.
